How to Build a Magnetic Generator - Step by Step Guide

Published: December 5, 2025  |  Updated: May 22, 2026

Just about anyone can build a magnetic generator or free energy generator as many folks are calling them. This step-by-step guide to building a magnetic generator will walk you through the process. First, though, you need to purchase the plans.

There is no way around this. Nobody is willing to share them for free! It's literally the best-kept secret on the internet! The best magnetic generator plans are based on Tesla's original designs and include everything you need to know.

The good news: The Plans Are Not Expensive. Bad news: They Are Not Always Available.

In the last few years, the website that sells magnetic generator plans has been taken down several times. Information suppression is real folks! If the website is up and running make sure to get the plans while you can.

You can check if it is still online by clicking here. If it's gone, don't despair. You can check back here in a couple of months.

The longest it has ever been down is 3 months. So far it has always come back. The only problem is that it's always a new web address which means you have to find it again! Read our materials list and cost guide to know exactly what you need before you start.

Print Your Magnetic Generator Plans Before You Start

Before you start building, I highly recommend you print out your plans. I just read them from my iPad for the first half of my build. I managed to scratch the screen and dent it by dropping it on the workshop floor. This got me in trouble with my wife!

Building the magnetic generator was a lot easier after I got my buddy to print the plans out for me. Made it a lot easier to take notes and write out measurements too!

How Long Does it Take to Build a Magnetic Generator?

That really depends on you and your own skills. Learning how to build a magnetic generator doesn't take too long, but it depends on how much time you have to put into the project.

Two or three days or maybe up to a week? It definitely takes more than a few hours! This isn't something that should be rushed. Also, if you're anything like me you'll want to build a magnet motor prototype first before going on to the final whole house build.

Anyway, learning how to build a magnetic generator is half the fun, isn't it? Take my advice and don't rush it. Go get your magnetic generator plans and enjoy the build!

How to Wire Your Magnetic Generator to Your Existing Power Supply

Although this is covered within the plans, you need to be careful. In my opinion, this is a job for a qualified electrician. Check out our materials list and cost guide to estimate your total investment.

Once you've built a couple of these free energy generators (believe me, you'll end up building more than one!), you'll definitely want to have one set up in your house permanently. This should be wired in by a professional.

So many house fires are caused by substandard wiring. Take my advice, spend a bit of cash and get a qualified electrician. It's just safer and you'll be saving a fortune on electricity bills by that point anyway! See our cost savings per month breakdown to see how quickly it pays for itself.

Just finished printing out the plans and ordered my parts. The article is right about not reading from an iPad in the workshop. I did that for the first half of my build and dropped it on the floor. Dented it pretty good. My wife was not happy. I had my buddy print them out and it made a world of difference for taking notes. The link in the article still works. Got the plans for $40 and started building last weekend.

The website has been down for 3 months before. How do you know this time it will come back? Seems like a scam where you pay for plans that might disappear forever.

Daniel, my husband and I had the same worry. We kept checking the link and it was down for weeks. But every single time the site has come back under a new URL. The longest it was down was 3 months, just like the article says. The plans always come back. My husband finally got through last month and we have been building ever since. It took us about 5 days because we work on it after our regular jobs. Take your time and do not rush it. The plans are easy to follow even if you are not super handy.

I kept waiting for the site to come back after clicking that link. Finally it showed up last week and I ordered the plans. Figured why not give it a shot.

Here is a practical tip: build a prototype first before your final build. My first one was a test run and it only cut my bill by 30 percent. But I learned so much from that first build. The second one was way better because I fixed the mistakes from the first. Don't feel bad if your first one is not perfect. That is completely normal and expected.
