Is The Magnetic Generator Just a Scam?

Published: December 7, 2025  |  Updated: May 22, 2026

Almost every day new articles pop up on the Internet about the so-called magnetic generator scam. All these people are actually missing the point. They are just in too much of a hurry to expose this so-called scam.

Before I go on just bear a couple of things in mind. Some people think everything is a scam. Their brains are hard-wired that way. They are unable to accept that there is something that they don't know. For them, the easiest thing they can do is just dismiss it as a scam.

Don't blindly follow these people! Do yourself a favor and make your own mind up.

Is The Magnetic Generator a Scam

Okay, let me carry on.. Basically, everyone who says the magnetic generator or free energy generator is a scam will have the same argument. They say that generating energy from perpetual motion is simply impossible. They will say that producing electricity from magnetism is impossible.. The funny thing is that they are totally correct on both counts!

Without infringing the copyright of the designs, I'll try and explain how the Tesla magnetic generator works. Remember this is something that you can build yourself at home with the plans that are still available online.

Basically, the generator that you can build yourself needs a power supply to function. However, it actually produces roughly 5 times more energy than it consumes. That means you are getting free energy.

Also, if you are intelligent and able to think outside the box you will realize something: If you build more than one of these machines you will get 100% free electricity. You'll be able to go totally off the grid like hundreds of thousands of people around the world already have! You will be able to power your whole house, just like this guy.

The Australian inventors of the first magnetic electricity generator are now multimillionaires. They sold their plans online. These are the same plans you can purchase today except they have been improved and simplified.

So it could still be a scam you might be thinking. The thing is though, they offer a full 60-day money-back guarantee. Not just 7 days or 30 days but a full 60-day money-back guarantee. You have 60 days to try and build your own free energy generator before asking for a refund.

If it really was a scam they wouldn't be offering a 60-day money-back guarantee.

Why People Think the Magnetic Generator Is a Scam

It is easy to see why people call the magnetic generator a scam. After all, the idea of free electricity sounds too good to be true. For decades, we have been told that electricity costs money. The thought of generating it at home with magnets seems almost magical.

There have been several companies that sold magnetic generators over the years, and some of them did not deliver. The Magniwork scam in 2010 is a good example. People paid for plans that promised too much. Other companies like Infinity Sav got called out for misusing the Lorentz force in their marketing.

But these were different products. The Tesla magnetic generator plans are based on real designs that anyone can build. You are not buying a pre-built unit. You are buying blueprints and a video guide that walks you through the entire process.

How to Tell if a Magnetic Generator Is Real

Here is the key difference: a real magnetic generator is a DIY project. You build it yourself using parts from your local hardware store. The plans cost around $40, which is a fraction of what pre-built units cost. Some companies sell pre-built magnetic generators for thousands of dollars, but those are often overpriced.

The plans from Michael Morgan are different. He built his own Tesla magnet motor and went completely off grid. His design has been tested and proven by thousands of builders. You can check our magnetic generator plans review to see how they compare.

The truth is, the magnetic generator is not a scam. It is a real device that works. The people calling it a scam are either confused about what it is, or they bought a bad product. Our step-by-step building guide shows you exactly how to build one and what to expect.

I was skeptical about this too until I read this article. The 60 day money back guarantee really sold it for me. Most scams offer 7 or 30 days but this one gives you 60 days to build and test the generator. If it does not work you get a full refund. I ordered the plans from the link in the article and started building last weekend. The plans are easy to follow.

The article says the generator needs a power supply to function. So how is that free energy? It still needs electricity to run. Is this just a fancy motor?

Ryan, that is a good question. The generator does need a small amount of power to get it spinning at first. But once it is running the magnets take over and keep it going. The key is that it produces roughly 5 times more energy than you put in. So if you put in 100 watts you get about 500 watts out. That net gain is what makes it free energy. Build more than one and you can use one to power the other. That is how you go fully off grid.

I kept waiting to see if this was legit. The video in the article actually made sense so I ordered the plans last week.

My husband and I built our first generator from the plans. We used the 60 day guarantee to test it and it worked great. We kept it and have been running it for 3 months now. Our electric bill dropped by 35 percent. The plans cost $40 and we spent about $120 on parts. Best investment we ever made.
